《汉语拼音方案》规定： iou、uei、uen 前加辅音声母时写成 iu、ui、un。iu、ui 的声调符号标在后一个元音上，un标在u上。/ According to the "Chinese Pinyin Scheme," when consonant initials are added before iou, uei, and uen, they are written as iu, ui, and un. The tone marks for iu and ui are placed on the second vowel, and the tone mark for un is placed on the u.

前鼻韵母，指的是鼻韵母中以-n为韵尾的韵母。前鼻韵母共5个。
